Watch The Cape May Ferry Navigate Through Frozen, Icy Waters
The Cape May-Lewes Ferry makes daily trips across the Delaware Bay, but after the "bombogenesis" or "bomb cyclone" dropped snow, ice, and frigid temperatures across the area, the scene looked more like something from the North Pole than the East Coast.
I'm surprised they even attempted to get through; I always thought there were only certain ships that were "ice-breakers" that they used to clear the path for larger ships. Of course my nautical knowledge is limited to watching "The Hunt For Red October" and "The Perfect Storm" and "Jaws", so don't quote me on anything.
