New Jersey is home to some pretty amazing food, seriously if it weren't for the slightest bit of self-control I'd easily pack on the pounds with all the options!

Now, when someone or some website says that they've determined the best of the best when it comes to restaurants in the Garden State our ears usually prick up a bit right?

I have my opinions, and I'm sure you have your opinions, but I'm always curious about what the 'experts' have to say.

When I think of the best places to eat in New Jersey a few immediately come to mind; Beacon 70 in Brick, The Crabs Claw in Lavallette, Mikes Dock in Sea Isle City, and Capone's in Toms River are some of my favorites.

Also, when you think of what type of food New Jersey's number one restaurant might sell you'd think something along the lines of Italian, seafood, pizza, or maybe even breakfast.

So what is the best place in New Jersey to Eat according to experts?

NJ.com reported that the review website Yelp has released its very first list of the Top 100 Places To Eat in New Jersey.

I'm not going to lie, the top restaurant on the list kind of leaves me scratching my head. I mean, I'm sure it's good it's just not at all what I was expecting!

Some notable restaurants to mention that made the list are Spano's Ristorante Italiano in Point Pleasant at number 32, Cheesesteak Louies in Seaside Heights coming in at number 27, and Mutiny BBQ In Asbury Park at number 16.

But What Was Voted The Number One Restaurant In 2022 In New Jersey?

As I said, the answer surprised me.

It's kind of a newer place in Montclaire that calls itself a health-food cafe that specializes in super-food enriched bowls.

Congrats to Boomchia, for being voted New Jersey's top restaurant in 2022, according to Yelp.

Something tells me I'm not going to be able to get any good chicken parm, pizza, or bagels here, but this place does have nothing but 5-star reviews.

I have a few co-workers who absolutely rave about these types of places, it's similar to a Playa Bowl.

Personally, I'd prefer a nice Italian place or a seafood restaurant.

Speaking of seafood.
