First Responders Family Fun Day Is Set To Come To Howell, NJ

On May 18th, between 1 PM and 4 PM, you'll be able to come out to Aroogas in Howell (5169 US-9) and touch a firetruck, meet a K9 from a K9 Unit, win gift baskets, and enjoy some live music.

You'll also be able to enjoy free massages and the kids can get their faces painted for free!

There's also a dine-to-donate happening where 15 percent of all food purchases will be donated to help the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office purchase a new K9.

That's where the Remembering Brian Kanterman Foundation comes into play for this event.

What Is The Remembering Brian Kanterman Foundation?

The foundation's main mission is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who serve and protect our communities.

That means they raise funds to purchase new K9s for units that have lost K9s in the line of duty and they also assist veterans and first responders get service dogs if they need them.

Brian Kanterman who the foundation is named after is a fallen hero, he passed away in the line of duty in 2018, and he aspired to be a part of the K9 unit.
