So many of our favorite restaurants have been hit with obstacles they never dreamed of in the past 18 months.  The early days of the coronavirus forced temporary closures of establishments as we were told to lockdown and shelter in place.

Some were forced to close for good!

Here Is A List Of Phenomenal Jersey Shore Restaurants We Can't Afford To Lose

Too often we forget, these business owners also have families who were dealing with what the pandemic was creating just like the rest of us.

Fortunately, some were able to reopen as things got better.  Creativity was just one characteristic of a successful new beginning.  Government help, and the ability to rehire workers willing to come back, played a large role in their success.

I hope they find a way.  Some of those that closed up shop has been in businesses for generations.  The family’s blood sweat and tears were poured into those community spots.  Bringing people of their respective neighborhoods together for decades.

You may have thought when Linda’s Pizza in Lacy Township closed its doors back in March 2020, it was due to the pandemic.  Not at all!

In fact, the closure was part of the game plan for renovations.  A new look isn’t the only upgrade.  The new owners, Ricky Digiovanna and Gennaro Guardascione are looking to open as “Pies On 9 South”, located at 136 S. Main Street, Forked River.

Digiovanna’s fiancée Brandi Braden, who also helps the business told Asbury Park Press "Everything's ready in there”.

The namesake follows suit to the couples’ other restaurants; Pies on Nine in Beachwood and Pies on Stiles in Linden.  All three places will share a similar menu.

Not to say the pandemic didn't throw a wrench in their plans, it did!

But persistence won the race and they plan to reopen on October 1.
