3 Reasons Ortley Beach Is Our New Go-To Spot On The Jersey Shore
One of the hardest questions to answer, especially if you live near the Jersey Shore, is what your favorite beach is to spend the day at.
It can be like trying to pick your favorite kid; every beach has its own unique vibe and appeal. For example, my wife and I used to go to Seaside Heights every summer. We like it because it has all of the fun and excitement that Seaside Heights has to offer, and if you buy your badges early enough, they're not too expensive.

For The First Time Ever, We Switched Up Our Beaches This Summer
This year, though, we switched up where we got our beach tags for the first time in a long time, and I don't think there's any going back for us. Not that there's anything wrong with Seaside; we still love it there. We just fell in love with Ortley Beach.
Ortley Beach is by far the best beach at the shore we've gotten tags for so far, and there are several reasons I feel so strongly about this.
Why Ortley Beach Is Our New Favorite Beach At The Jersey Shore

Firstly, you can buy the tags at the municipal building in Toms River; you don't have to drive over to the island to get your beach tags, and if you're like me and work in the Toms River area, that's huge.
Parking In Ortley Beach Is So Easy
Secondly, parking in Ortley is a total breeze, which you can't always say for other beach towns. If you go to Third Street Beach, there's a huge parking lot that's free to park in. And if you get there later in the day and the lot is full, there's street parking that's free all over town. It blows my mind how easy it is.
The Beach At Ortley Is Just So Calm And Relaxing
And lastly, I feel as though the beach itself is just calmer. It seems like it's more of a 'locals' beach, and it's just a great beach to spend the day at. So, what's your favorite beach at the Jersey Shore?
