Salty Dick’s Kitchen & Piano Bar Opening in Ortley Beach, NJ in 2027

Something salty is coming to Ortley Beach next year, and I think locals are absolutely going to love it.

This is something that's been in the works for more than 4 years, and is a passion project by a local business owner who just wants to give the community a place to hang out, a place for people to feel welcomed and grab a cold drink, good food, and a place for people to see some amazing live music.

And although there are some great little restaurants in Ortley Beach, like the Lobster Dock and Mia's Pizza, I don't think Ortley has seen anything like this in years.

Owner Richard Sullivan says this is a dream come true, and that by opening Salty Dick's Kitchen and Piano Bar, he wants to bring back some of what Sandy took from the shore.

Not only is Richard a Jersey Shore local, but he's also the person behind Ricky Bagels, as well as Angelina's Italian Market in Lavallette.

What Will Salty Dick's Kitchen And Bar In Ortley Beach, NJ Look Like?

At this point in time, Salty Dick's is just waiting on the final zoning permits from the town so that this new piano bar and restaurant can become a reality at the shore, and a lot of thought has gone into the design of the up-and-coming bar. With that piano overhang, this may become one of the most recognizable buildings on 35!

When Will Salty Dick's Kitchen And Bar Open In Ortley Beach, NJ?

Salty Dick's is planning an opening date sometime around St. Patrick's Day of 2027, and Richard does plan on bringing the No Shower Happy Hour back to Ortley.
