Surprising Pick for Jersey Shore’s Best Party Beach Town

When you think of 'party towns' at the Jersey Shore, what towns come to mind?

My first thought is always Atlantic City, it's got a ton of bars, restaurants, clubs, and of course, more casinos than you can shake a fist at.

It's the ultimate town for a good time.

However, according to the travel experts at Hotels.com, Atlantic City didn't even make their top ten list of the best beach towns to party in, and it's kind of mind-blowing.

The Jersey Shore town that did make the list, however, isn't exactly what I'd call a party town.

Hotels.com Picks Seaside Heights as the Top Party Town

Hotels.com says that the best party town at the Jersey Shore is the legendary little town of Seaside Heights.

However, I don't totally agree with their reasoning.

Why Seaside Heights May Not Fit the Party Town Label

According to Hotels.com, what makes Seaside Heights a great party town is its "casinos, clubs, and Jenks Pavilion".

I'm not sure if these travel experts had ever been to Seaside, but we don't have a Casino there (except Casino Pier), nightclubs are a thing of the past, and Jenks Pavilion is in Point Pleasant.

What Seaside Heights Really Offers for Nightlife

I do believe, though, that Seaside Heights is a great place for a vacation. My wife and I even lived on the island for a few years when we first moved to Jersey, and loved it. There is a lot to do, too, if you're looking for a party scene.

The upstairs at Beachcomber is always pumping up the energy with DJs, Spicy Cantina has a hot dance floor that's open late into the night, and there's always somewhere to go to see some live music.
