If you're not familiar with David Burke, he's a renowned chef who appeared on Iron Chef in 2006 and has been decorated with accolades in the cooking world throughout his career.

Next to Guy Fieri, Burke may be Jersey's favorite foodie, especially since he's a Jersey local who grew up in Hazlet.

Some of Burkes' NJ restaurants include Orchard Park, the Red Horse, and he also owns the Dixie Lee Bakery in Keansburg.
Sadly, though, it looks like one of Burkes' restaurants has closed permanently.
The Goat In Union, NJ Has Closed Down
According to Patch, the restaurant initially closed back in July for some internal renovations; the expectation was that it would reopen for business in the near future.

The Goat, in Union, NJ, has now been closed permanently. The restaurant was opened in 2022, and the Goat was known for its eclectic decorations and amazing, high-quality food.

What was nice about the Goat, though, was that it offered a high-quality dining experience without the high-quality price tag, making it an ideal restaurant for the average middle-class family that wanted a nice night out. That's a rarity in the Garden State.
No word was given on exactly why the Goat closed, but know it will be missed amongst the NJ food scene.
