New Restaurant Potentially Opening Near Ocean County Mall

UPDATE: We originally reported that BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse would possibly be occupying the former Sears location in the Ocean County Mall, however, it turns out that if approved, the restaurant chain will be a standalone structure within the Ocean County Mall parking area. We apologize for any confusion.

Over the last few weeks, there has been a lot of speculation of what might be replacing Sears at the Ocean County Mall.

According to the Asbury Park Press, BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse, a California chain, could be heading our way, pending approval by the Toms River Planning Board. They will make a decision at the next meeting on February 8th.

Although this restaurant will not have a brewery, like their other locations, they will still offer their signature Craft Beers.
