Mets Promote Tim Tebow To Double-A; Tebow Homers On First Pitch

Last summer, Tim Tebow visited FirstEnergy Park to face the BlueClaws as a member of the Mets single-A affiliate, the Columbia Fireflies.

Despite the obvious boost it would provide for ticket sales, the Mets didn't bring Tebow up last September.

Tebow had already been bumped up from single-A to High A, and now the Mets promoted him to their Double-A team, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

How did Tebow celebrate his promotion? Homer on the first pitch!

 

For a while I was sick of this stunt, but the longer it goes, the more I'm just happy to go along for the ride. I'm sure I'll be tired of it again soon. Stay tuned for updates!
