When reporters asked Mets' General Manager Sandy Alderson about the possibility of Tim Tebow being called up to the majors sometime in 2017, Alderson replied:

Never crossed my mind until about 10 days ago when somebody said it was likely to happen ... I don’t foresee that kind of scenario.”

Lightning crashed, blood rained from the skies, the sun turned dark - it is truly the end of days!

Despite stumbling through Single-A, Tebow was promoted to the High A St Lucie Mets, where he's been doing surprisingly well. I'm still on the side of "why not?" What do the Mets really have to lose? They're 13 games out of 1st place, 9.5 games out of the Wild Card...why not call up a guy that is guaranteed to sell tickets and merch? And honestly, I'm dying for the bet between Free Beer & Joe to be settled.
