Tom Seaver, one of the greatest pitchers to ever play the game of baseball has passed away yesterday at the age of 75 from dementia and COVID-19

He was known as "The Franchise" and "Tom Terrific" and will  go down as the greatest New York Mets player to play the game of baseball. He won 198 games with the New York Mets over twelve years, and finished his career with a total of 311 wins, and 3,640 career strikeouts with a 2.86 ERA

He led the Mets to a World Series Championship for the first time in 1969.

Seaver single-handedly turned the New York Mets from a losers to winners.

He won Rookie of the Year in 1967. Was a 3x Cy Young Award Winner, and was also selected to the All-Star game twelve times throughout his career.

I can't do the justice that he deserves to explain just how good Seaver was, so check out this video the New York Mets put together to the greatest Mets player of all time...Tom Seaver
