Not too long ago, Trader Joe's opened up in Brick. We've seen new Whole Foods, new Aldis, new Lidls , and even a Corrado's opening up around the shore.

Now, it's been announced that the long-abandoned Cost Cutters building in the Riverwalk Plaza in Brick will be the Shore's newest Lidl!

Lidl is the "arch-rival" of Aldi, with both stores bringing a European style to grocery shopping. Food is cheaper because it's not name-brands, there is a rotating stock of non-food items, the checkout is super fast because you do your own bagging in an area away from the registers.

While there's no official word on an opening date just yet, Lidl has asked permission from the town to hang their sign on the storefront.
