While most towns this Summer are showing Toy Story 4, Frozen 2, or Secret Life of Pets this Summer, Lacey Township is going back to 1985 to show an absolute classic...Goonies!!

Now, there's nothing wrong with those other movies I mentioned, but it's nice to see one of the towns on the Jersey Shore showing something a little different for their drive-in movie.

On Friday, July 31st, Lacey Recreation will be showing The Goonies at Jones Road Field starting at 7:30p.

The viewing of The Goonies is only open to residents and you have to register since space is limited. Click HERE to register.

Drive-In movies have become the gig thing this Summer since the COVID-19 pandemic closed New Jersey movie theaters back in March, and they have not been open since.

There is no word when New Jersey movie theaters will reopen once again since Governor Murphy announced just yesterday that there is a "pause" on any upcoming openings due to the slight spike in new positive cases in New Jersey, and the big spike in other states around the country.

Lakewood BlueClaws just announced that they will put on a Summer Movie series at First Energy Park in July and August. Click HERE to see their movie schedule
