Since there will be no baseball this summer at First Energy Park in Lakewood, the Lakewood BlueClaws are coming up with different family-friendly events for the Jersey Shore.

A lot of other towns throughout the Jersey Shore have created movie nights AND drive-in movie nights scheduled so families can go out together as a group and still be able to maintain social distancing.

Starting Friday, July 17th, the Lakewood BlueClaws will be kicking off one of four movie nights throughout July and August to watch inside the stadium on their HUGE 1,857 square-foot video board.

Gates will open for each show at 6:00 pm with the show beginning at 7:00 pm each night, and groups will be safely situated in socially-distanced, spaces on the field or in the seating bowl. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome on the field (tents are not permitted).

Admission is just $10 per person and The BlueClaws will also offer a $5 snack pack that includes popcorn and soda or water (available for purchase in advance).

The full movie schedule includes the following:

In other baseball news, the shortened 60 game schedule officially is underway on Thursday, July 23rd with the Yankees taking on the Washington Nationals
