The man who allegedly stole a boat in Little Egg Harbor ends up crashing it into the new South Green Street Park bulkhead in Tuckerton at a high rate of speed late Tuesday night.

The 32-year old Kevin Bacorn from Manahawkin, is charged with theft, criminal trespassing and boating while intoxicated, New Jersey State Police told the Asbury Park Press.

West Tuckerton and Mystic Island Fire Company Marine Units along with NJSP and the Tuckerton Fire Department were among those who responded to the scene of the crash after 11:00 pm Tuesday night.

"It turned out to be a boat stolen in Little Egg Harbor had crashed into the new bulkhead at the park at a high rate of speed," Tuckerton Fire Department said on Facebook. "West Tuckerton and Mystic Island Fire Company Marine Units were called to assist in the search for the thief using thermal imaging cameras."
