Why does everyone feel the need to make their proposal "outrageous"?  Idiot.

I'm pretty sure my girlfriend would kill me if I pulled that. Seriously, you can't just get down on one knee and be romantic? Instead, you have to make your girlfriend think she's about to die. Jerk.
