Our friends over at the Downtown Toms River Business District reached out to us earlier today to let us know that they are ready to reopen and get together with the entire community with some awesome events planned.

Safety is their number one priority so once they get the green light that events can take place, they are ready to go.

They asked us if we can help get the word out of the events they still have planned for the rest of the year.

Of course...We said yes. Whatever we can do to help.

Events on their schedule below are subject to change at any time, but let's just hope that doesn't happen.

  • Chili & Salsa Cook-Off:

The Chili & Salsa Cook-off is postponed until Sept. 19th, 2020.  We will closely monitor whether this event will be able to take place.

  • Farmers' Market:

The Farmers' Market will begin on May 20th.  Farmers' Markets are deemed essential by Governor Murphy.

We have established guidelines for each phase of re-entry for the market.  The market will run from May 20th - Oct. 28th.

  • Cruisin Downtown:

Cruisin' Downtown will be transitioned into Downtown Cruisin' Food Drive.  Along with The Vintage Auto Club of Ocean County and Fulfill of Monmouth/Ocean County, we will hold a food drive utilizing the classic cars, the second Wed. of the month June-Sept, the same dates as Crusin' Downtown.  Food will be collected from the community and the classic cars will "parade" the food to The B.E.A.T Center in Toms River.

  • Summer in the Street:

Summer in the Street will be transitioned into monthly Downtown Night Outs.  Once a month the community will be invited to come downtown to support their local businesses.  Promotions and specials will run in every business.  Towns have done similar ideas with Ladies Night.  As we move through the Phases and Guidelines we will possibly introduce music and other outdoor activities as allowed.

  • Harvest Arts Festival

The Harvest Arts Festival is still scheduled for Saturday, October 17th, 2020.

  •  Downtown Tree Lighting

The Tree Lighting is still scheduled for Friday, December 4th, 2020.
