I loved Smokies Craft BBQ; it was open in Downtown Toms River for a year or so, and running over there for a pulled pork sandwich before my afternoon show started was a weekly tradition. Smokies has been closed for a while now, and I've always wondered what would replace the vacant storefront in Downtown Toms River.

Now we know, and I'm very excited for this new addition on Main Street.

A new hot dog spot is getting ready to open at 49 Main Street in Downtown Toms River, and it's being run by the same restaurant that makes some of the best BBQ in Ocean County.

Harry's Smokin' BBQ started off as a food truck, and a few years ago opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant in Toms River. They've been a local favorite for a while when it comes to BBQ, and now, they'll be a local favorite when it comes to hot dogs.

Glizzy's By Harry Will Open Soon In Downtown Toms River, NJ

According to Instagram, Glizzy's By Harry is getting ready to open in Downtown Toms River, in the former home of Smokies Craft BBQ at 49 Main Street.

If you're curious, a glizzy is just a new way people say hot dog, and I'm excited to check this place out because it seems like they're going to be serving up some unique types of hot dogs.

I'm especially curious to see what a "dirty water dog" is.
