That being said sometimes a marriage doesn't always work out and for one reason or another people decide to go their separate ways.

In Jersey, the divorce rate according to the most recent data available from the CDC states that Jersey has a divorce rate of 2.2 for every 1,000 residents.

Where the 'point 2' comes from I have no idea, but Jersey's divorce rates are pretty low when compared to other parts of the country.

January Is Shown To Be The Most Popular Month For Divorce

For a lot of reasons, January seems to be the most popular month for couples to call it quits and end their relationship.

Newsweek says this is due to a variety of factors.

Some people may just see the first month of the year as a good time for a fresh start.

Other people may not want to have to go through the process of divorcing during the holidays, which would add a lot of stress to an already stressful time of year.

And others still believe there are tax benefits to divorcing the first month of the year.

Is It Actually Better To Get A Divorce In January Than Other Times Of The Year?

Newsweek says that according to lawyers there's really no benefit to filing in January.
