A Massive Fireball Lit Up New Jersey’s Skies This Week

So Jersey has seen a lot over the past week.

Last Friday we were shaken up by a 4.8 magnitude earthquake that had everyone a little on edge for the day.

Then just a few days later we bore witness to a solar eclipse, and despite some cloud coverage in some areas, it was truly an awe-inspiring site to see!

If those two events weren't enough, apparently Jersey also had a massive fireball fall through its skies this week, but there's a good chance you missed.

A Massive Fireball Was Witnessed Falling Through The Skies In New Jersey

My first thought after hearing this was aliens.

Apparently, that's not the case though, a fireball is a meteor that burns brightly as it falls through the Earth's atmosphere.

Still pretty cool!

The fireball, according to Patch, was seen in towns all over New Jersey; Atlantic City, Perth Amboy, Milltown, Long Beach, Wayne, Franklin, Hackettstown, Barnegat, Milford, Manaswuan and more all bore witness to the event.

A lot of people captured the fireball, which was seen at 3:44 AM on Wednesday on their home security devices like this one posted to TikTok thanks to News 12 New Jersey.

The craziest part of the video in my opinion is seeing the fireball; it just disappears almost as quickly as it appeared in the sky.

There's nothing cooler than astrological events whether it's fireballs in the sky or solar eclipses.
