It was a sad day in Wall, as the iconic Circus Drive-In was finally demolished.

It's the end of a long saga surrounding the beloved restaurant on Route 35. It was last January that we first got word that the location was put up for sale. The online petitions didn't work, PETA tried a stupid publicity stunt, and it was eventually announced that the new owners would convert the site into a number of businesses rather than keep the drive-in open.

Facebook was full of people sharing pictures and videos of the demolition, along with memories of spending summer nights at the Circus over the past decades. One thing I have not seen is the fate of the famous neon clown. There would definitely be a place for it, but I haven't heard anyone say whether the sign was trashed with the rest of the restaurant or if it was saved.
