The Jet Star Coaster Demolition Begins Today

It will be an odd feeling when the now infamous coaster finally is removed from the water in Seaside.

The coaster became an unexpected symbol for the Jersey Shore after Superstorm Sandy.

The coaster itself brought back memories to many of us of our time spent in Seaside. Those great memories contrasted again the crushing memories of the damage done by Sandy.

Some people wanted it to stay up, as a sort of monument, but today marks the first day of its dismantling. What do you think should have been done?
