Now this might be the most New Jersey event that I've seen in a long time, and I'm debating whether or not to throw my hat in the ring. It's a food-eating contest that's based around the national food of New Jersey: Pork Roll.

There's nothing better than a pork roll, egg, and cheese on a hard roll for breakfast. I try to have one at least once a week, just because it's good for your soul, and if you love pork, roll, egg, and cheese sandwiches enough to think you could eat more than anyone else, then you'll want to sign up for this food challenge because it could score you some serious cash.

Jersey Roll Is Hosting Their Second Annual Pork Roll Eating Contest

Jersey Roll sits on the Seaside Heights boardwalk, and is known for their pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwiches, as well as their full bar that sits right on the boardwalk. It's a great place to hang out and grab a drink after a day at the beach.

Now, Jersey Roll is looking for a pork, roll, egg, and cheese champion in this year's Pork Roll Eating Contest, the restaurant's second annual.

When Is The Jersey Roll Pork Roll Eating Contest?

Happening June 20th, at Jersey Roll, the entry fee is $40, but it'll be money well spent.

Once the timer starts, you'll have ten minutes to eat all the pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwiches you can, plus you'll have all the beer and water you can drink.

What Do You Win If You Come In First In Jersey Roll's Pork Roll Eating Contest?

If you end up winning, you score a $500 prize, plus you get a free 'eat my pork roll' T-shirt, and of course, you get bragging rights.

The contest starts at 11:00 AM sharp, and if you're competing, be sure to come hungry.
