Long Standing Superstorm Sandy Reminder Finally Leveled Today

I have been wondering for a long time what is going on with this house on Rt. 35 in Mantoloking. Why has it remained like this for all these years? It has been an eerie reminder of the massive devastation that Hurricane Sandy did to the Jersey Shore back in 2012

And while houses that were destroyed by Sandy have been torn down and rebuilt, this house has been in this same state for almost 5 years.

Today it is finally be leveled
