Swarm of Bees Takes Over Cape May Beach
This is just another video showing how crazy the year 2020 has been.
Yesterday a swarm of bees took over a person's towel who was just minding their business trying to stay cool at the beach in Cape May yesterday
Swarms of bees occur like this when the "Queen" bee is relocating to find a new hive, and the rest of the bees follows along. The bees definitely weren't following social distancing guidelines!
I guess the "Queen" bee wanted to cool off at the beach as well with temperatures in the mid to upper 90's this week.
A local beekeeper arrived at the beach and took the bees away to an empty beehive
Beachgoers say the swarm was pretty docile and did not hurt anyone, but I definitely would not like to be caught in the middle of that.
Let's just be happy that it was not a swarm of Murder Hornets.
