Seaside Heights Approves Expansion Of Spicy Cantina

About a month and a half ago, we told you about the proposed renovations on the Seaside Heights boardwalk - and now, the proposal has been approved!

According to planning documents, the project will include an expansion of Spicy Cantina, converting a portion of the Coin Castle arcade into a full-service restaurant and bar which will include outdoor seating.

My opinion hasn't really changed since I first talked about this: I just don't get why Seaside needs another bar, or what this bar thinks it can offer to compete against all the others. A new restaurant is cool, it's always nice to have another option, so hopefully that will turn out well.

I haven't been able to find a proposed timeline, so I'm not sure if this project will be completed for summer 2019 or if construction will start after the tourist season. We'll keep you updated!
