We've seen a lot of chain restaurant closures in Jersey over the past few years, and now, a once popular chain is closing it's remaing two New Jersey locations, as well as its locations across the country.

In the past few years, we've seen brands like Bahama Breeze close up shop almost out of nowhere in Jersey, leaving us asking, "What's coming next?"

Back in Febuary of 2025, we saw On The Border close its doors in Toms River, and now it appears as though the fast casual restaurant chain is closing the rest of its New Jersey locations as well.

On The Border Plans To Close Its Remaining Locations

According to Patch, on the Borders parent company, Pappas Restaurants, is ending the 44-year history of On The Border, not only closing its last two New Jersey locations, but also closing its remaining locations across America.

In New Jersey, that means the On The Border in Princeton as well as the On The Border in Mount Laurel have ceased operations.

Patch reports that the restaurant is closing all of its remaining US operations at the time of this publication, June 12th.

At its height, On The Border operated 150 US locations and employed upwards of 2,800 people.
