I love talking about local businesses that are getting ready to expand or open at the Jersey Shore, and now, Surf City is about to get a lot sweeter now that a beloved local ice cream chain is preparing to open its 4th location.

Over the past couple of weeks, the shore has had a lot to be excited about; Pelicans Wharf is now open in Seaside Heights, Cowabunga Creamery is open and operating in Lavallette, and next year, Salty Dicks Kitchen and Piano Bar will open in Ortley.

Rich's Ice Cream Is Planning On Opening A New 4th Location

I love seeing all of these locally owned businesses grow and expand, and now, it's time for Rich's Ice Cream to join the fold.

If you're not familiar with Rich's, it's been an ice cream staple at the Jersey Shore since 1955, and they've got locations in Forked River, Toms River, and Manahawkin.

But soon, a new 4th location will open in the near future!

Rich's Ice Cream Set To Open In Surf City, NJ!

We don't have too many details, other than the fact that Rich's Ice Cream shared on their Instagram Page that they're opening in Surf City in the near future!

What Rich's is excited about (and what I like about it too) is that Surf City is a very walkable part of LBI, so walking to get your favorite cone from Rich's, and then checking out some sunset views, or taking a stroll by the ocean is going to be the perfect combo.
