Did you hear?!  The Asbury Park Brewery is relocating!  CEO and founder Jeff Plate said that they are looking to open the doors to their new location by year's end.

Since 2006, the original location on Sewell Avenue was where you could enjoy some of their branded suds from their infamous loading dock.  But since November 2020, they ceased operation due to the pandemic and have plans to move the "tasting room" part of the business to a new location.

Jeff Plate told the Asbury Park Press...

“COVID, as horrible of a year as it was, it did give us an opportunity to re-examine our business and kind of hit reset on at least the on-premise retail aspect of it.  What we found was we have an opportunity in Asbury Park to catch a lot more tourists in a higher-traffic area like Cookman Avenue or the Boardwalk, and we were missing out on some of that."

Back in January of this year, the company announced on its Instagram account news of their new plans...

A new lease was signed for the brewery to open shop at 614 Cookman Ave.

This is the former location of Fitness Lifestyles.  Although a smaller footprint compared to the original Sewall location, this new hot spot will offer...

"more access, more beers on tap, more local food options right around the corner"

Plate, also revealed 20 new beers will be available on tap.  Beer consumers will also have the option to purchase cans, fill growlers, and crowlers.  In addition, branded merchandise will be available for purchase as well.

This new venture doesn't close the old location down.  Production of Asbury Park Breweries signature beers will continue at the Sewell Ave location.
