One of the shore's most popular traditions, especially among dog lovers, is now coming to an end after 20 years.

If you spend any time at the Shore, odds are you've heard of something called 'Yappy Hour' at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park.

Yes, it is a happy hour, but it's one of the only dog-friendly happy hours at the shore. People were encouraged to bring their furry four-legged friends while they socialized and hung out with one another.

The Wonder Bar was a haven for dog lovers with a massive fenced-in outdoor area filled with water bowls for dogs. It was the ultimate place in Asbury Park to bring your dog, meet some friends, and grab a cold beer.

Why Is Yappy Hour Ending After 20 Years?

According to NJ.com, after 20 years of dog-friendly fun, yappy hour is getting ready to come to a permanent end.

Thanks to a new development plan for luxury apartments, the deck space that houses yappy hour will go away.
