Lidl Changes Lacey Grand Opening To Match Aldi

Lidls and Aldis are popping up all over the Jersey Shore, as the German grocery rivals are vying for our love and adoration (and money).

Lidl had announced their Grand Opening in Lacey would be on September 12th, but things changed after Aldi announced their own Grand Opening in Forked River.

Aldi will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for their location on Route 9 in Forked River at 7:45am on Tuesday, September 10th, and Lidl will follow almost immediately at 8am the same day.

The first 100 people at Lidl will get a gift card worth between $5 and $100, and there will be samples, giveaways, and games. No word yet on any perks for being among the first customers at the newest Aldi, but we'll let you know if we find out!
