Here’s When New Jersey Can Expect To See Hummingbirds This Spring
We are slowly but surely marching our way closer and closer to the spring time and warmer weather here at the Jersey Shore.
We got a real taste of it over the weekend, it was 65, sunny, and absolutely gorgeous walking around the Seaside Heights boardwalk, then we got hit with the reality that it's still winter because the temps dropped back into the 30s the next day.

That being said, warmer days are in fact on the way, and you tell when you shop at places like Home Depot; that they've got all of their plants, seeds, and flowers on display ready to get planted for another season.
They've even got flowers that attract hummingbirds ready to go!
Flowers like Bee Balm, Phlox, and Hollyhocks are all known for attracting those cute, little, fascinating birds.
But when will we be able to start seeing hummingbirds in Jersey?

You're in luck, they'll be here sooner than you may think!
When Will New Jersey Start To See Hummingbirds This Year?
Hummingbirds typically start making their presence known when the flowers start to bloom, so usually sometime in early to mid spring depending on the year.
This year, Meteorologist Joe Martucci believes we could see hummingbirds start making an appearance in April of 2025.
The further North you travel, the later in the season you'll start seeing hummingbirds, so at the Jersey Shore we would likely start seeing these fascinating creatures sometime in mid-April.
