I can't believe we're already talking about the idea of Daylight Saving Time coming to an end, but it's hard to deny. Just over the weekend, I noticed that the sun had set and was gone before 8 PM. Granted, it was a cloudy evening, but still, the sun is starting to set noticeably earlier every night.

So, the next natural question is "when do we set our clocks back this year?" However, the real question is "Are we going to set our clocks back an hour this year?" After the idea of the Sunshine Protection Act was introduced and passed in the House, there's a chance we could stay in Daylight Saving Time year-round in America.
Has The Sunshine Protection Act Been Signed Into Law Yet?
As of now, the bill is still waiting for approval from the Senate before it can make its way to the President's desk for his signature, and the Senate is on recess until mid-September, so sadly, we won't know if the bill will become a law or not for a few more weeks.
What Time Would The Sun Set, If The Sunshine Protection Act Was Passed?
I would love to see a world where we don't have to worry about changing our clocks anymore, and having the sun set at 5:30 PM in the winter as opposed to 4:30 PM would work wonders for my self-diagnosed seasonal depression.
The issue with the Sunshine Protection Act, though, is that there are parts of America that wouldn't see the sunrise until 9:30 AM, according to NJ.com.

But let's say the bill doesn't pass, and we're turning our clocks back an hour this fall; it would occur on November 1st, at 2 AM.
