Have you ever had one of those weekends that just makes you so incredibly grateful to live where you live? What I mean by that is that you realize that the place you call home is where other people visit for a few days, only to wish they didn't have to leave. Over the weekend, I had some friends from PA visit our home in Ocean Gate, and it was just one of those weekends that makes you realize how great living near the shore is. We spent Friday night on the Seaside Heights boardwalk, grabbing soft serve, and taking my friend's 7-year-old on rides at Casino Pier. Seeing the excitement in his eyes when he saw the rides all lit up was amazing.

And to round it all off, we watched the sun set over the water. It was just one of those weekends that really made you remember and appreciate the fact that we live where most people vacation, and it's a sentiment that we should never take for granted.
