Earlier this afternoon, I came across a Facebook post talking about the government shutdown, and that the Coast Guard is still working without pay.

I understand that there a lot of workers currently working without pay during the shutdown, but we live in a beach town. Whether you are a boater or not, the Coast Guard plays a huge role in our outdoor activities along the Jersey Shore.

As mentioned in a post on Sea Tow Manasquan Facebook page, the Coast Guard is there for us 24/7/365 days a year in all weather conditions to help out whenever we need it!

Sea Tow is collecting donations to help the men and women of the Coast Guard and their families during this shutdown. Gift cards to local restaurants, gas stations, food stores, etc. are all welcome.
