It's a lot for one week let alone one or two days but the Brick Police Marine Unit pulled over 13 boats on Saturday July 17th and 11 on Sunday July 18th leading to a number of summonses.

There will be two races along the 4-4 1/2 mile course. Spectators can watch the race from anywhere on the Point Pleasant Beach Boardwalk

Monmouth County officials have continued their annual "Royal Flush" from recreational boats on the Navesink and Shrewsbury Rivers by removing waste that corrodes it.
Earlier this afternoon, I came across a Facebook post talking about the government shutdown, and that the Coast Guard is still working without pay.

On Saturday, July 15th, the 15th annual "Shore Dreams for Kids" is looking for volunteers to give boat rides in Seaside Heights to special needs children between 11a-3p.
Volunteers are also needed to help out on the docks and along the shoreline.
It is an amazing event each year that puts HUGE smiles on these children's faces. Check out the photos from last year.
