The Coast Guard was called about a crew member aboard a fishing vessel who was exericening severe abdominal pain and needed to be medevacked from the boat which was at the time 50 miles off Manasquan Inlet.
Earlier this afternoon, I came across a Facebook post talking about the government shutdown, and that the Coast Guard is still working without pay.
I understand that there a lot of workers currently working without pay during the shutdown, but we live in a beach town...
