3,000 Pounds Of Ground Beef Recalled; Here’s What NJ Needs To Know
When you see something's been recalled, you have one of two reactions.
The first one is "Oh no, is this in my house? Have I consumed or used whatever's being recalled? What am I supposed to do next?"

The second, and this may just be me, is "at least there was a recall, and now I know to get rid of a product, or return it to the store for a refund."
Why Product Recalls Are Important for Consumer Safety
Recalls let us know that the system works; if a product is released, and it's subpar or potentially dangerous, recalls are the way we know the powers that be are trying to make sure nothing bad happens to consumers.
And we're seeing this happen right now with nearly three thousand pounds of ground beef.

Yeah, it's a bummer there's a recall, but now you know not to buy ground beef.
Nearly 3,000 Pounds of Ground Beef Have Been Recalled
According to the Food and Safety Inspection Service, the ground beef in question was produced on December 16th by Mountain West Food Group.
The recall was initiated due to the possibility of E. coli contamination.
Symptoms of E. Coli Infection Consumers Should Watch For
Common symptoms of E. Coli are diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fever, and fatigue.
The recalled Mountain West Food Group ground beef was shipped out to several states, including California, Washington, Colorado, Idaho, and Montana.
And although New Jersey wasn't on the list, Pennsylvania was, and seeing how the Garden State is just a quick hop, skip from PA, it's good to know what's being recalled in our neighboring states, so if you do find yourself food shopping on the other side of the border, you can be well-informed.
