Walmart Issues Major Shrimp Recall
The first reports of this came in something last week, and it almost sounded more like a joke than anything else, but it was announced that Walmart was recalling its store brand Great Value bags of shrimp due to potential radioactive contamination.
What Is Cesium-137, And Why Is It Dangerous?
Specifically traces of Cesium-137, which can cause cancer even with only small amounts of exposure.

Personally, I wasn't planning on eating the frozen shrimp from Walmart anytime soon, but it's now just off the table for me.
Radioactive Shrimp Found Near The Garden State
According to Yahoo, the radioactive shrimp was found in several states, including a few right next to the Garden State.
Walmart's in Florida, Missouri, Kentucky, Mississippi, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Ohio, Oklahoma, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania have all recalled their Great Value frozen shrimp.
With Pennsylvania being right next to us, it's kind of alarming.
Other Brands Impacted By The Recall
Other brands are also being recalled across the country due to possible radioactive contamination.
Sand Bar, Arctic Shores, Best Yet, First Street, and Great American Seafood Imports were also believed to have been exposed to Cesium-137, and you are urged to get rid of the frozen shrimp in your freezer if you have any of those brands.
What To Do If You Ate Radioactive Shrimp
If you do realize you have ingested any of this radioactive shrimp, I'd reccomend you seek medical attention. Also, let me know if you get any superpowers.
