Amazon is planning on opening up an  "Amazon Fresh" grocery store right here in New Jersey.

It would only be the fourth Amazon grocery store of its kind, with it also being the first one on the east coast with the other two being in California.

Unfortunately for us here in Ocean and Monmouth Counties, it would be a little bit of a hike to do our shopping.

Amazon Fresh is set to replace an old Fairway Market location on Route 46 in Woodland Park, New Jersey.

There already is an Amazon store inside the Willowbrook Mall, where the most popular and best-rated items are sold.

A cool feature about Amazon Fresh is that there is no checkout line to wait on. Items are scanned in your "dash-cart" and the items are charged to your credit card once you leave the store. Pretty cool

According to Amazon:

Amazon Fresh is a new grocery store designed from the ground up to offer a seamless grocery shopping experience, whether customers are shopping in store or online. Customers will find a wide assortment of national brands and high-quality produce, meat, and seafood; plus our culinary team offers customers a range of delicious prepared foods made fresh in store, every day.

You will also be able to pick-up and return items that you order online at Amazon Fresh.

Amazon has not announced an opening date as of this time.
