105.7 The Hawk's Ocean of Love Billboard Radiothon Guide

Ocean of Love is an Ocean County-based organization that assists local children with cancer and their families. Caring for a sick child is an unbelievable financial burden and all of the money raised goes straight to the financial support of these families. From hospital bills and gas money to support for bereavement groups, Ocean of Love is there through the entire process.

The 105.7 The Hawk Ocean of Love Billboard Radiothon is an annual event that puts 105.7 The Hawk's Andy Chase on top of a billboard until the goal of reaching $105,700 is met. In addition to helping to raise money during this single event, Andy also raises awareness for the group year-round. The annual Ocean of Love Radiothon began in 1998 and has raised more than $1.7 million to date for Ocean County families.

Here is everything you need to know about the 105.7 The Hawk Ocean of Love Billboard Radiothon:

WHO: Ocean of Love is the charity and 105.7 The Hawk is the radio station. Andy Chase is the DJ who will be living atop the billboard until the goal is met.

WHAT: 105.7 The Hawk's Ocean of Love Billboard Radiothon. The goal is to raise $105,700 in one week to be given directly to Ocean of Love - an Ocean County-based charity that helps children with cancer and their families.

WHEN: Andy will make his way onto the billboard on Monday, October 19th at 5PM and will live there 24/7 until Friday, October 23rd or until the goal of $105,700 is met.

WHERE: The billboard is located in the Target/Lowe's parking lot on Hooper Avenue in Toms River. You are welcomed to stop by at any point during the week.

WHY: This is the most important part. 105.7 The Hawk continues to host this event year after year because the children and their families that Ocean of Love support deserve it. They put every penny raised by this and all events that they are a part of directly into the hands of the families that need it the most. From counseling to bill assistance, from car repairs to funeral expenses, Ocean of Love supports Ocean County families.

HOW: There are a variety of ways to donate year-round to Ocean of Love, but this week is special: visit the 105.7 The Hawk Billboard Radiothon in the Target/Lowe's parking lot anytime during the week of 10/19-10/23 to make your donation in person and to take part in the uplifting festivities. For a $20 donation we’ll play the classic rock song of your choice and for $50 we’ll play something from a different format (song must be in our system).
