What Happened to This Drive-Thru in Beachwood, New Jersey?
While we are talking drive-thru’s here in Ocean County, I recently did the story about the new drive-thru grocery, bakery and coffee shop coming to Toms River, what happened to this former drive-thru in Beachwood?
My update this week had more photos of the Farm Stores drive-thru coming to Toms River at Lowell Avenue and Route 37. This new drive-thru will feature grocery items, fresh baked good and coffee! This format seems to be identical to the former Welsh Farms drive-thru on Route Nine in Beachwood. I remember when the Welch Farms location opened and it seemed to be popular, but what happened? Was the location bad? was the goods for sale not what people wanted? was the “drive-thru” aspect slow?
CONCLUSION: I still love the idea of the “drive-thru” it’s just an easy way to swing in get what you need and be back on your way. Was the Welsh Farm location before it’s time? Has COVID made the “drive-thru” more relevant and useful? If the drive-thru in Beachwood was redone and reopened would it work ?
