This is an update on a story I did several months ago on the gigantic building being built along Hooper Avenue in Toms River, possibly the tallest corporate building in Toms River Township. As you can see the construction continues and it eclipses all buildings in the area. The photo I took was from a distance so it doesn't do justice to just how big the building is. I am assuming we are seeing the top, although could it go a bit higher before all is said and done? Maybe, but this one is going to look very good when completed. What is this huge building? It's the future new addition to the corporate center for Ocean First Bank in Toms River. According to the Asbury Park Press, the addition is nearly 80,000 square feet and almost 100 feet tall. The new seven-story building will be added to the existing 60,000 square foot corporate office, which was built sometime in the 1970s.

So take a look at the "final" product and let us know what you think. Is it a great resource for more jobs here in Ocean County or is it just too big? It does blend nicely with the existing offices and hopefully will bring more jobs right here to Toms River.
