Just the other day, walking through Downtown Toms River, I noticed that Smokies Craft BBQ was closed.

I was shocked. I always thought they had the best BBQ in Toms River, and loved stopping by for a pulled pork sandwich before heading into the station.

Even in Seaside Park, the long-standing and beloved Chef Mike's ABG is getting ready to close its doors at the end of this year. Not because of the tough economic times but because the person who owns the building is terminating the lease.

A New Restaurant Is Bringing Excitement Back to the Jersey Shore

So, when it looks like a new restaurant is preparing a grand opening at the Jersey Shore, it's something to be excited about!

Located in the little beach town of Point Pleasant, and located just a block away from the Ocean, you'll find the Jersey Shore's newest hot spot for amazing food.

The Tradewinds Restaurant & Bar Opens in Point Pleasant

The Tradewinds Restaurant and Bar is the newest addition to the Jersey Shore food scene, and they're offering a high-end dining experience with food that's sure to excite.

Their menu features a variety of seafood, pasta dishes, and steaks. Including a Tomahawk dinner for 2, which looks amazing.

Tradewinds is currently in their soft opening phase, so you could go there right now and check them out for dinner, but their grand opening will be happening on June 14th.

It's great to see another local restaurant start to plant roots here at the Jersey Shore!
