A few weeks ago, there was word that the Freehold Raceway Mall was looking to put an entertainment center in one of their vacant anchor store locations.

The next time you visit the Freehold Raceway Mall, it may look a little different. New zoning laws may open the door for a whole new line of thinking for stores and entertainment. It is already the largest mall at the Jersey Shore, what could they possibly want to add? We’re talking about a potential bowling alley and/or arcade games.

Things are starting to take shape at the Ocean County Mall, particularly where Sears once was. The Ocean County Mall just put out a statement saying that LA Fitness will be building a 34,000 square foot gym that will feature cardio areas, studios with group fitness classes, free weights, a swimming pool, and personal training...

Nearly a dozen stores will take over the space at the Ocean County Mall.

According to the Asbury Park Press, BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse, a California chain, could be heading our way.

Over 100 Sears & KMart locations are closing, including the Sears at the Ocean County Mall.
