Ida came through New Jersey like a wrecking ball. Severe rain, tornadoes, and flooding ravaged much of our state. Perhaps one of the most shocking sights comes to us in the form of this 27-second video from a family in Cranford, New Jersey.
This story is exactly why I only like so much nature. I'll marvel at it as long as I don't have to navigate it, sleep in it or worry about surviving it. A local Freehold family was recently rescued after getting lost on a mountain hike in Maine.
The good news: he's okay! He was hoping to bring some early holiday cheer when his engine failed and he crash landed into a neighborhood's power lines.
