Starting next Monday (4/8), the road at the Rt. 88 bridge at the Point Pleasant Canal will be closed evenings for two weeks for bridge painting from 8p-6a. The NJDOT says the full closure will allow workers to lift the bridge in order to paint components that are not accessible while the bridge is in the open position...

This is actually a good thing! The end of the construction on Rt. 166 is oh so close! Construction crews will be closing Rt. 166 Thursday Night at 10p to remove barriers between Rt. 37 and Old Freehold Road. The closure will last throughout the overnight and will reopen Friday morning at 6a with TWO LANES open in both directions...
