A structure fire that damaged two residences on Mill Creek Road in Berkeley Township on Sunday evening has been deemed accidental in nature.

That determination, announced on Monday by Berkeley Township Police, was made by BTPD Detectives along with the Ocean County Sheriff's Department Fire Marshals Office.

Police, Fire and EMS arrived to the scene of the fire around 9:00 pm Sunday and the blaze was quickly put out.

There are no injuries being reported but the fire damaged both residences.

The Bayville Fire Department, Pinewald Pioneer Fire Department, Berkeley EMS and the Bayville First Aid Squad all responded to assist in putting out the fire and addressing the scene with Berkeley Township Police and Township fire officials as well as the OCSD Fire Marshals Office.
