The Berkeley Township Police Department’s EMS Division is the recipient of a $14,567.82 grant courtesy of the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
Berkeley Township will be adding 10 new police officers to the department over the next couple years thanks to a $1.25-million grant from the U.S. Department of Justice through their Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Programs.
The splash/spray park at John C. Bartlett Jr. County Park at Berkeley Island along with the playgrounds will reopen on Thursday July 2 as will the playgrounds at the other 14 Ocean County parks.
